Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, and his wife Vasundhara Sinha, IRS, today organized a get-together of all police personnel at the Musheerabad Police Station. The Commissioner received family members of all the police personnel working at the police station. Over 250 family members of police personnel attended.
The excited family members of police personnel said they visited the police station for the first time where their spouses were working. The children were very happy and excited to see the CCTV network. The Commissioner of police explained to the family members of his personnel about the citizen-friendly policing. He said every police man should attract smiles from common public. The Commissioner offered sweets and chocolates to all the children and participated in lunch with all the Police Constables, Officers and their families.
Smt Vasundhara Sinha said there has been a lot of improvement in the facilities provided at the Police Station now and the functioning of police station was more like a corporate world in Hyderabad city. She also appealed to all the mothers of the Police families to regularly get their children vaccinated for polio and other diseases. She also advised all the police constables to take care of their wives and spend more time with them. She narrated many instances in which her husband Anjani Kumar could not attend birthday functions of their children because of commitments at the office. She said as a wife of a police officer, there are many challenges and she can feel the sentiments of the family members of all the constables and police officers present at Musheerabad Police Station.
Smt Vasundhara Sinha has been working as Additional Director General of Foreign Trade in the Union Ministry of Commerce. Earlier, she worked as Commissioner of Income Tax, Hyderabad. (NSS)
