Experts at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad predicted there is a possibility of Southwest monsoons entering Telangana in the next 48 hours.
According to the IMD-H press release, “Conditions are favourable for further advance of the monsoon into some parts of north Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Konkan region, some parts of Gujarat state, most of Madhya Maharashtra, entire Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, and some parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours.”.
A release said today that the southwest monsoons reached parts of the central Arabian Sea, many areas of the Konkan (including Mumbai), some areas of Madhya Maharashtra, and parts of Karnataka.
Earlier in the forecast, it was stated that the monsoon would head to Telangana between June 5 and June 10. Despite this, it seems to have been delayed now because of weak wind waves in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.
However, Hyderabad is expected to experience light-moderate rain starting Sunday and continuing for a few days. There has been a yellow alert or ‘be alert’ warning issued for the entire state for the next four days.
