Hyderabad gang kidnaps & beats up four people

Four people were kidnapped, confined, and beaten up by unidentified individuals at Shastripuram in Mailardevpally by alleged gold smugglers. It is yet to be determined who the gang members are, but about a fortnight ago, three youngsters identified as Shahbaaz, Aiyaz, and Fahad went to Dubai to smuggle gold from Dubai to Hyderabad.

In addition to arranging accommodation for the youngsters, the gang provided pocket money in local currency for their expenditures for a week. A few days ago, the members of the gang based in Dubai attached two kilograms of gold in paste form to the legs of the young people, asking them to smuggle it to Hyderabad.

In contrast to both Aiyaz and Shahbaaz, Fahad remained back in Dubai and avoided Customs inspection at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Fahad’s father Ahmed Sharif and his relatives Aasim, Aiyaz, and Shahbaaz were kidnapped by the smuggling gang in Hyderabad, then tortured in their house for information regarding the remaining gold. Others were let off, except Sharif, as they claimed innocence.

He was rescued by the Sanathnagar police after they filed a complaint. It is believed that the gang has absconded.
