Hyderabad: Hyderabad Marathon Run – 2018 is to be held on August 26 in which nearly 20,000 runners are expected to participate. The run is commencing on August 26 at 5 am from Necklace road and would proceed to Gachibowli stadium spanning about 42 km.
The route is as follows: Necklace road – Khairathabad fly over – Rajbhavan road – Rajeevgandhi statue (Wrong route) – CM camp office – Panjagutta fly over – Srinagar colony ‘T’ Junction – Sagar Society Colony – NTR Bhavan – Jublee Hills check post – Peddamma Temple – Kavurihills X road – Left turn – Madhapur L&O PS Image hospital – Cyber Towers – Left turn – KFC & Trident Hotel (Wrong route) – Lemon tree – under pass of mind space – IKEA – My Home Bhooja – Bio-diversity X road – right turn – CP office Cyberabad – Gachibowli fly over (Right side) – Indiranagar – Himagiri Hospital – IIIT Junction – Wipro – Right turn – Q City – Gowlidoddi – Gopanpally X road – Right turn – HCU western gate (Back side) – inside HCU – 2nd gate right turn and Gachibowli stadium – Gate No.2 HCU right turn – Gachibowli stadium.
There is a need to facilitate free movement of public and participants of the Marathon during the event. In exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 7 Clause (1) of Cyberabad City Police Act No. 2 of 2004 r/w Section 21 Clause (1) (b) of Hyderabad City Police Act 1348-F, I, V.C. Sajjanar, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad do here by notify for the information of general public / road users in Cyberabad Commissionerate that the following restrictions / diversions will be imposed on August 26 from 05.00 AM to 12.00 PM on the below mentioned routes
Kavuri Hills/36 Jn.: Traffic coming from Jublie Hills and Road No. 36 will be diverted towards 100 ft road to go towards Kukatpally, Kothaguda, Kondapur, Gachibowli, ORR.
Road No 45 : Traffic coming from Road No 45 will be diverted towards HMDA, Durgam Chervu, Mind Space Rotary, Bio-Diversity Junction, ORR via Khajaguda- Nanakramguda Rotary –towards Airport and ORR.
Cyber Towers Jn : Traffic coming from JNTU will be allowed on Cyber Tower fly over towards Bio-diversity Jn.
Traffic coming from 100 ft road will be allowed till Cyber Towers, there after it will be allowed on one side of the road towards Hitex, Kothaguda Junction, Gachibowli and Kondapur and Hafeezpet.
Traffic towards Bio-diversity Jn. from 100 feet road will be diverted at 100 feet junction towards N-Convention, Railway station road, Right turn under ROB, Borabanda road and on to the Cyber towers fly over, etc.
Traffic going towards Dellotie, HSBC, Phoenix, Dell will be allowed from Cyber Tower Jn. through Hitex (metal Chairminar) CII/Jubilee Enclave road in two way.
Metal Charminar : Traffic will be allowed in two way road towards Madhapur till Cyber towers and traffic will not be allowed between 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at Kothaguda Junction towards Cyber towers.
Biodiversity Jn.: Traffic coming from Bio-diversity Jn. towards Mind Space and JNTU will be allowed via Raheja Underpass towards Cyber Towers.
Gachibowli Jn : Traffic coming from Kothaguda Jn. will be allowed towards Bio-diversity jn via Telecom Nagar, CP office, Care Hospital till Bio-diversity Jn.
Traffic coming from ORR will be allowed till IIIT Jn, but will have to take left turn towards Gopichand Academy to proceed towards Financial District, etc.
Traffic going towards Gulmohar Park, Nallagandla can proceed via Botanical Garden, Masidbanda and HCU. But traffic going towards BHEL/Miyapur should go via Kothaguda, Kondapur and Alwyn Junction.
GHMC Office Lingampally JN : Traffic coming from BHEL Lingampally proceeding towards Gachibowli will be diverted towards Botanical Garden via HCU depot, Masjid Banda and Botanical garden road.
Wipro Jn. : Traffic coming from ICICI Bank will be allowed on one side of the road in two way.
Gopanpally ‘X’ road :Traffic coming from Gopanpally will not be allowed towards Gowlidoddi and Wipro. They have to take right turn at Vattinagulapally towards ORR service road.
Gachibowli PS : Traffic coming from Lingampally towards Gachibowli will have to take left turn at Gachibowli Tr. PS, and will proceed via DLF, Radisson Hotel and Botanical Garden etc.
On August 26Sunday from 0500 hours to 1200 hours Heavy vehicles i.e., Trucks, Lorries, DCM’s, RMC and Water Tankers will not be allowed in the limits of Madhapur, Gachibowli & Miyapur Traffic PSs Cyberabad, in view of Marathon 2018 on the following roads
Kavoori Hills Jn. to Kothaguda Jn. via Cyber Towers Jn. , Allwyn Jn. To Gachibowli via Kothaguda. , HCU to Khajaguda via Gachibowli. , JNTU, Kukatpally to Bi-diversity Jn.
In this background, IKEA stores management shall start their operations only from 12 pm onwards on August 26.
The concerned TSRTC officials shall take necessary steps accordingly to plan alternative routes for the buses which ply on the above routes from 6 am to 12 noon. (NSS)
