The Hyderabad Metro’s journey began with the launch of an 11-km rail service on the Miyapur-Ameerpet route in 2017. Since then, it has steadily expanded its services in phases, covering a total of 68 km across routes including LB Nagar-Miyapur, JBS-MGBS, and Nagole-Raidurg. This comprehensive network has made metro travel a convenient and efficient option for residents.

Currently, the metro caters to around 4-5 lakh passengers daily, providing a fast and reliable mode of transportation across the city. In addition to the cumulative milestone of 50 crore passengers, HMRL set a new record in July last year, transporting 5.1 lakh passengers in a single day.
