The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has forecasted that temperatures across Telangana will remain below normal for the next two days before rising gradually. In its 48-hour weather update issued on Friday morning, the IMD predicted that both maximum and minimum temperatures in the state would be 2 to 3 degrees Celsius lower than usual.
Despite the dip in temperatures, the weather will remain dry across Telangana, with hazy or misty conditions expected during the early morning hours in some isolated areas for the next three days, according to IMD officials.
However, the respite from the heat will be short-lived, as temperatures are expected to climb again starting Saturday or Sunday. IMD-Hyderabad officials have warned that the mercury could touch 40 degrees Celsius in multiple locations across the state in the coming days.

Meanwhile, independent weather forecaster T. Balaji, known for his accurate regional predictions, noted on platform X (formerly Twitter) that Hyderabad experienced its coldest March morning on Friday. He reported that temperatures in some parts of the city had dropped to as low as 10 degrees Celsius. “Morning cold weather is likely to continue for the next three days, but the days will be warm,” he posted.
With the onset of rising temperatures, residents of Telangana are advised to take necessary precautions against the impending summer heat.
