Hyderabad: A gullible resident of Lalaguda area in Secunderabad was duped by a duo of cybercriminals. The incident came to light after the arrest of the two Cybercriminals belonging to Jharkhand State.
The cybercrime police said the victim had ordered two t-shirts online. However, he was delivered only one t-shirt by the online sellers. On finding this, he immediately called up the customer care unit of the company and lodged a complaint on the issue. The accused, who were working as customer care executives of the company won the trust of the victim by promising to deliver the remaining t-shirt and made him share an OTP received on the victim’s mobile.
Following this, the victim lost Rs 35,000 from his bank account prompting him to lodge a complaint against the accused.(NSS)
