Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the six-lane flyover connecting Aramghar to Zoo Park today. Built under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), the flyover is expected to significantly transform traffic management in Hyderabad.
Spanning over four kilometers and constructed at a cost of ₹736 crore, the flyover is now the largest in Hyderabad, surpassing the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway. It is designed to provide a signal-free commute for thousands of vehicles daily, easing traffic congestion and reducing travel time.
The flyover will enhance connectivity between Shamshabad Airport and key regions such as Secunderabad, Warangal, Medchal, and Malkajgiri. Approximately 2,000 buses and private vehicles that use the stretch daily between Imlibun Bus Station and other parts of the city will benefit from faster and smoother commutes. Areas like Uppal, Nagole, LB Nagar, Bairamalguda, and Chandrayangutta will also enjoy improved accessibility, contributing to economic and social development in these regions.

This flyover is the 23rd project completed under the SRDP, which has already delivered 36 out of 42 planned projects, including 22 flyovers, five underpasses, and six rail-over-bridges.
To further enhance Hyderabad’s transport network, the government has launched the Hyderabad City Infrastructure Transparency and Innovation (H-CITI) initiative, allocating ₹7,032 crore for 38 additional projects. These include new underpasses and flyovers around KBR Park to alleviate traffic congestion at major junctions like Jubilee Hills Check Post, Film Nagar, and Road No. 45.
The Aramghar flyover represents a significant step in Hyderabad’s efforts to modernize its infrastructure. It is expected to reduce fuel consumption and air pollution, contributing to the city’s sustainable development goals while enhancing the daily lives of its residents. The inauguration of this landmark project marks another milestone in Hyderabad’s journey toward becoming a smarter, more connected metropolis.
