If at all the sea of heads at a public meeting at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh is having any indication this time, it would hands a blow back to BJP in Purvanchal region considered as a strong hold of the saffron party given the support it is enjoying from the Brahman community that always play a decisive role in deciding the fate of candidates here during every election.
Claiming that the Samajwadi Party will beg atleast 300 seats this time in the elections, its leader Vinay Shankar Tiwari, the former legislator, said, “All the banners of CM Yogi has replaced with PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah speaks in volume. The people in the state is quite unhappy with the Yogi government. This is because of the attrocities meeted out to people especially from Brahman community whose scores of leaders were witch-hunted or brutally murdered under Yogi regeme.”
He was recording his statement for a Hindi news portal yesterday.
When asked about being referred as a ” Bahubali” in terms of having the most number of cases, he said, “CM Yogi carried over a dozen cases on him which were cleared soon after he took charge as a Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.”
“Now the question is which person should be considered upright; the one who was acquitted by the court of law or the one who used his influence and ensured wrapping up charges against him after taking charge as a Chief Minister?” Tiwari pointed out.
Blaming the Yogi government for playing caste politics in Uttar Pradesh, he said, “We never saw such a card carrying pro-caste government in the past. Their bulldozers rolled on the structures of a particular community called Brahman especially in Bikru. However, no such actions were seen in Jaunpur, Sultanpur and Gounda etc. These are all being done with a particular pro-caste mentality.”
“Everything is being viewed with a pro-caste mentality. From local police personnel of local police stations to district level officers everyone is being viewed with a caste coated magnifying glass,” he said adding that, “Even the criminals are also being viewed with the same lens. We never saw such a biased government in the past.”
Alleging that the Yogi Government using ‘encounter’ as a state policy against the people of particular caste and community, the Samajwadi Party leader said, “Three people were brutally killed in Gorakhpur recently and all the accused were allowed to surrender before the police and was safely lodged in the jail. This is because all the accused persons are of a particular community.”
“However, in other cases, the accused persons were simply neutralised through encounters. This is how the Yogi government made encounters as a state policy to settle scores with the people of other castes and communities,” he blamed.
