Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday said illegal building constructions would be demolished without giving any notice for violation of government rules. He made it clear that they would not tolerate any illegal constructions in the State.
Participating in a discussion in the House on the Municipal amendment Bill, the Chief Minister said owners of the house properties should give self- certification about the legality of their properties. He also said those who give wrong certification would be imposed fine of 25 times of their building permission fee. Stating that District Collectors would play more important role after the enactment of the Municipal Act, he said the new At proposes action against chairpersons, ward councilors, village sarpanches and ward members too.
The Chief Minister said a flying squad headed by the District Collectors would undertake measurements of the permitted properties. He said they have removed powers of the cabinet minister to issue stay on the orders of the District Collector. He said the building permission pertaining to 500 sq.metre would be given through online and his government has a citizen-friendly urban policy. (NSS)
