In a shocking crime that has rattled the Telugu states, G Tejeshwar, a private land surveyor, was murdered just 29 days after his marriage, allegedly due to an illicit affair between his wife Aishwarya and her lover Tirumalarao, a bank manager.
The Kurnool district police arrested eight people in connection with the murder, including Aishwarya, her lover Tirumalarao, and her mother Sujata. Police investigations revealed that Tirumalarao had been in a relationship with both Sujata and Aishwarya, adding further twists to the case.
According to District Superintendent of Police T Srinivas Rao, the couple conspired to kill Tejeshwar from the time of his engagement with Aishwarya. They viewed him as an obstacle to their future plans.
To execute their plan, Tirumalarao reportedly took a Rs 20 lakh loan, installed a GPS tracker on Tejeshwar’s bike, and made five failed attempts before finally succeeding. On June 17, Tejeshwar was lured into a car under the pretext of a land dispute meeting. Once isolated, he was attacked with clubs, and his body was dumped in the Panyam forest near Kurnool.
The police recovered key evidence including the murder vehicle, two clubs, a knife, 10 mobile phones, and the GPS device used to track Tejeshwar. To erase traces, the accused threw Tejeshwar’s mobile phone and laptop into the Krishna River.
Further investigations revealed that after the murder, Tirumalarao and Aishwarya had planned to escape to Ladakh to start a new life together.
The case has shocked residents across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with many calling for strict punishment for the accused. The police say investigations are ongoing, and more details may emerge as forensic and digital evidence is analyzed.
