Improved services for animals: Talasani

Hyderabad: The State government was taking all steps to provide improved health services to animals in the State, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has said.

The minister launched a newly set up GVK Call Centre at Devara Yamjal in Shamirpet mandal with 20 member staff. The staff will attend to all the calls for providing improved health services to the animals on making a call to toll free number 1962.

Talking to mediapersons later, the minister claimed that the State government has sanctioned 20 operator posts for the existing call center comprising 10 operators. “This will help the staff to provide better services”, he said, adding that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has offered these posts to serve the animals best.
“We have already pressed in 100 mobile veterinary vehicles for the purpose”, he said, adding 100 more vehicles will be bought. “I have already appealed to the Chief Minister in this regard”, he said. He expressed hope that the new call center will now take about 5000 calls every day. He also said that the network will be connected with a control room in Hyderabad and other veterinary hospitals in the districts.
