India’s Recovery Rate Crosses 90% As Covid 19 Cases Continue to Decline

In another flow of news, India’s Covid 19 recovery rate has now gone up to 90.80 percent. The active cases have also dropped down to 22,28,724.

Daily Recoveries Outnumber Daily Active Cases in India 

As per the latest reports, India’s daily recoveries continued to outnumber the daily new cases for the 16th consecutive day on Friday. At the same time, the total recoveries were 2,84,601 in the last 24 hours as per the data released by the Union Health Ministry.

A total of 1,10,811 more recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours as compared to the daily new cases. Ever since the pandemic started, the total number of people who have recovered from Covid 19 are 2,51,78,011. In the past 24 hours, 2,84,601 patients have recovered.

It constitutes an overall recovery rate of 90.80 percent. India’s active caseload has reduced to 22,28,724 on Friday which is a new landmark since the last peak on May 10 this year.

The ministry further said that a net decline of 1,14,428 is observed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only 8.04 percent of the country’s total positive cases.

India Records Less Than 3 Lakh Cases For The 13th Day 

Reports suggest that as the declines continue, the daily new cases in the country have also declined to less than three lakh for thirteen days straight. Less than 2 lakh daily new cases are being reported since the last two days. The ministry reported that a total of 1,73,790 daily new cases were registered in the last 24 hours.

At the same time, there has also been a decline in the weekly positivity cases. The weekly positivity rate has a weekly positivity rate is currently at 9.84 percent while the daily positivity rate has reduced and was at 8.36 percent till Friday.
