In the latest update from Facebook, Instagram has now introduced advertisements in their reels feature on Friday. The advertisements will be available in full-screen, looping and up to 30 seconds long.
Instagram Advertisement Reels To Work the Same As General Version
As per the latest reports, the advertisements on reels will be full screen and vertical. They will be similar to the advertisements in Instagram stories and will appear between the usual reels.

In a statement released from Instagram, they said that the users can comment, like, view, save and share the reels ads. The newly added Reels ads will appear in the popular places like the Reels tab, stories, explore and feed.
Justin Osofsky, Chief Operating Officer on Instagram released a statement. He said that they have understood that the reels are a great way for their users to discover new type of content on Instagram. Following this, advertisements are a natural fit.
Osofsky added that the brands will be able to take advantage of this new feature.
Facebook Introduces Facebook Stories with Advertisements
Meanwhile, Facebook has also started to experiment with a new advertisement format on Facebook stories called “sticker ads”.
This feature is meant for the influencers. The advertisements will allow the creators to monetise their Facebook stories with advertisements that would look like stickers. This would help the influencers receive a portion of the resulting revenue.

The brand will create the “sticker ads” which the influencers can add to their Facebook stories. The stickers will be linked to the specific products.
Facebook further announced that they have started to experiment with the advertisements in the Ocutus VIrtual Reality headsets. The experiment on the VR system will begin with the Blaston from Resolution Games along with a couple of other developers in the upcoming weeks.
Last month, Facebook announced that it is starting to test ads in the Oculus mobile app to give developers a new way to showcase their VR applications.
