Hyderabad: Congress MLA from Sangareddy Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy here on Friday alleged that the State Government was trying to take away the podu lands of the tribals of the State.
Speaking to mediapersons, Jagga Reddy said it was the Congress that had provided rights to the tribals on land. He said late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had immense love for the tribals. He urged the State government to not take away the source of livelihood from the tribals in the State. He also said Congress party had treated the tribals as its own children. (NSS)
