Jangaon police arrest Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay

Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar was arrested today who had given a protest call at Jangaon. A protest was called over BJYM workers getting beaten by cops outside TRS MLC Kavitha’s house while protesting.

During a protest at MLC’s Hyderabad residence, TRS workers and BJYM workers got into a scuffle.

Eventually, the police intervened and took control of the situation.

Members of BJYM and BJP Mahila Morcha held the protest after some BJP leaders accused Kavitha of being involved in the Delhi excise policy scandal. In response to the charges, Kavitha dismissed them and said she would take legal action against those spreading misinformation.

Injunction order to be sought by Kavitha

Kavitha said she would seek an injunction against those making the accusations.

“The allegations made against me are completely false…I have no connection to what was said in the Delhi Excise scam. Having all the agencies at their disposal, they can conduct whatever investigation is needed. We will cooperate completely,” K Kavitha said.

According to her, BJP is doing this because our chief minister KCR has been vocal about criticizing government policies, thus maligning her family’s reputation.

She stated that the Centre was participating in vindictive politics, which was hazardous to democracy, and that leveling baseless accusations was not a healthy political trend. She called the BJP leaders’ efforts to discredit our family “useless.” She believes that the BJP leaders were attempting to weaken the TRS leaders psychologically.

The TRS leader stated that during the separate Telangana movement, the TRS faced several allegations but was never intimidated by such false charges, adding that they are not scared by such baseless accusations.

The Central Government failed to respond adequately to TRS’s concerns, including the Bilkis Bano (convict release) case, she further added.
