Hyderabad : In order to boost tourism in Jammu & Kashmir, a Tourism Promotional Road Show will be held herd on February 25 at Hotel Plaza.
The Roadshow was being organized by Domestic Tour Operators’ Association of Jammu & Kashmir (DTOAK) in collaboration with J & K Tourism. The show, to be graced by Tourism Minister V. Srinivas Goud, Tourism Secretary B. Venkatesham, Commissioner of Tourism Sunita M. Bhagwat, Director Finance of J&K Tourism, president of Federation of Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry among other leading tour and travel operators of the city.
The event will showcase Tourism attractions of J&K and its Culture and heritage. Hamid Wangoo, DTOAK president invited people of this region to visit Jammu & Kashmir. He also dispelled the myth and said J&K is the safest place for the tourists. “National media was portraying our State in a negative manner hampering our tourism business adversely”, he added.
Hamid Wangoo said usually some one crore people visit each year Vaishnodevi Temple in Jammu and 30 lakh people visit Amarnath, said Hamid Wangnoo in a pressnote issued here today. He also asserted that Jammu & Kashmir is “totally” safe for tourists and tensions in the border areas have “no effect” on our tourism sector, he added. (NSS)
