JSP extends his support to Telangana Bandh on Oct. 19

Hyderabad : The Janasena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan today extended his party’s complete support for the State bandh call given by the Joint Action Committee of TSRTC on October 19 as part of its ongoing indefinite strike. He called upon the Jana Sainiks to take part the RTC workers’ agitation program  across the Telangana State. He, however, said that there should not be any violence in the bandh and asked his party leaders and workers to ensure that there would not be any untoward incident. The concerns of the workers should be explained to the people in a peaceful manner, he said.
Pawan Kalyan held a review meeting at in the city on Monday on the RTC strike and discussed upon the latest developments on the issue with the Party’s Telangana in-charge  Vemuri Sankar Goud, Vice-president  Mahender Reddy, Presidents’ political secretary P Hariprasad and party leader  Ram Talluri and others.
Speaking on the occasion,  Pawan Kalyan said “the RTC strike which has been going on since the past two weeks has been intensified across Telangana. The RTC workers Srinivas Reddy committed suicide by setting himself ablaze in Khammam district and another worker Surender Goud of Ranigunj Depot too ended his life. These incidents are indicating the severity of the situation. I appeal to the state government to understand the concerns of the workers and their demands in a humanitarian manner.” He said that  he was shocked to hear the news that around 48,000 workers of the corporation were are acked by a stroke of pen. “The families of the workers too felt agitated with the sacking their family members at once and it became a debatable issue among all. The issue of job security became a question now,” he said.
Pawan Kalyan said some demands made by the RTC workers may be resolved at once while some may not have any solution. He opined that the state government must have called the unions for discussion and resolved their demands in an amicable manner. “The discussions could solve some issues and the union leaders could be convinced with regard to issues which could not be resolved now. Sacking of workers created a sense of insecurity among the RTC employees,” he said. He demanded the state government to resolve the demands of the striking RTC workers in a cordial manner. (NSS)
