Judicial inquiry in 4 weeks on Raju suicide case: High court

Telangana High Court today directed for a judicial inquiry into the alleged suicide by Raju who was involved in the rape and murder of a six years old girl in the Saidabad area in Hyderabad.

After hearing the case, the High Court directed the third metropolitan judge of Warangal to give a report on the case in a sealed cover in four weeks.

The court said that the Warangal court will inquire the case further on getting complete details.

The court heard a petition filed by Civil Rights association President Lakshman who argued that the police killed Raju and filed a false case of suicide by the victim.

The government counsel informed the court that the criminal committed suicide as reported by the police department officials. The entire scene of the post mortem was videographed with seven witnesses and details are with the officials he said.

On hearing the case from both sides of the government and civil rights association the court directed for a judicial inquiry. The court directed that the officials concerned and the police department should submit details and video evidence to the Warangal district judge.

By tomorrow 8 pm the details should be submitted to the Warangal district judge, the court said. The court also asked the police to give details to the third metropolitan judge of Warangal.

The police said that Raju the criminal in the rape and murder case committed suicide and was found dead on railway tracks at Station Ghanpur-Warangal road on the Rajaram bridge area on Thursday.
