Kanna Charges TDP Govt With Misusing Central Funds

Andhra Pradesh BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana today directly asked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu whether he has courage to face an inquiry into corruption in the TDP government and misuse of Central funds in the State.

Speaking at a dharna organised by the BJP at Alankar centre here today, the State BJP chief accused Chandrababu Naidu of always deceiving people whoever believed him. In the beginning, he severed ties with the Congress, deceived his father-in-law late NTR and now Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Strongly criticizing the TDP government, Lakshminarayana alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was giving different names to the schemes being funded by the Centre. He also said the funds given by the Central government for various developmental programs for rural areas have been diverted. He asked Chandrababu Naidu whether he was ready for an inquiry into these allegations.
BJP leader and former Union minister Daggubati Purandeshwari alleged that while the Centre was giving funds for the Polavaram project, the State government was taking credit for the project. She warned the TDP to stop attacks on BJP leaders in the State. A large number of State party leaders participated in the dharna. (NSS)
