Karnataka Congress Protest Hike In Unique Way
The Congress heads of both the Houses of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council, arrived at the Vidhana Soudha on tongas. (A tonga or tanga is a light carriage or cart drawn by one pony utilized for transportation in the Indian subcontinent).
Karnataka Congress President D.K. Shivakumar, Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah, head of the Opposition in Legislative Council S.R. Patil drove the dissent on tongas with their allies. Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, however having a place with rival camps, sat on a similar tonga and drove the dissent together.
