Karnataka: FIR Lodged Against AICC Gen. Secretary, 35 Other Over Unlawful Assembly

As per the latest reports, the Karnataka police have booked an FIR against 36 people, including AICC General Secretary Randeep Surjewala, and state Congress President D.K. Shivakumar and Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, regarding gathering unlawfully to lay attack to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s home, police said on Monday.

The Congress had coordinated the program on April 13 to lay attack to the CM Bommai’s home and Congress leaders were halted halfway. They were arrested and released later.

The disturbance was organized requesting prompt capture of previous clergyman K.S. Eshwarappa following the self destruction of a project worker who considered Eshwarappa liable for his death. Bodies of evidence were recorded against the instigators under the Section 103 of the Karnataka Police Act (punishment for contradiction of orders), IPC Section 341 (illegitimate limitation), 143 (unlawful gathering).

Shivakumar has expressed that: “The police had captured us on the way to CM Bommai’s home and delivered later. Presently they have stopped a FIR. Previous pastor Eshwarappa disregarded prohibitory orders to complete protest walks and arranged fights. Why would that be no case on him?” he addressed.

The decision BJP is foisting cases on Congress pioneers. Why has CM Bommai not arranged to hold up cases on the individuals who presented Hindu petitions in a congregation? Muslims merchants were grieved in admissions, no cases on them. Rather CM Bommai is asking what’s up with moral policing. CM Bommai is supporting moral policing in the state, he charged.
