TRS MLC K Kavitha hit out at the BJP on Friday, saying the party was trying to divide the society and disrupt communal harmony.
At the annual Bathukamma saree distribution initiative by Telangana Government at Kammarpalli Balkonda, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha spoke.
Kavitha compared the Telangana Chief Minister to the BJP government at the Centre and claimed that CM Rao had created more than a million jobs for youth in the state. She asked what the BJP had done for the nation.
In addition, she said the BJP should take a look at the leadership of the Chief Minister and leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), who respect and celebrate all religions in the state. In her remarks, she praised the state government for its welfare-oriented programs and pro-people policies.
Kavitha questioned the BJP, the ruling party at the Center, over massive price rises and unemployment. As well as stating that the BJP had failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people, she asked TRS MP Aravind to tell them how many jobs the Union government had actually created instead of making tall claims.

As part of the Bathukamma project, initiated by the state government to boost the state’s weaving industry, the former Member of Parliament from Nizamabad addressed a large gathering of women at Kammarpalli Balkonda.
MLC Kavitha compared Telangana with BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh: “Only 70 lakh people of a 23 crore population receive pensions in Uttar Pradesh. As for Telangana, with a population of four crores, the state government has provided 48 lakh pensions, ranging from Rs. 2,016 to Rs. 3016.”
Furthermore, she also urged women to question the BJP-led government at the Centre about rising prices for essential commodities and rising unemployment rates.
