Hyderabad: In the wake of losing two LS seats in the polls, TRS Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today called an urgent meeting with senior leaders, including T Harish Rao, Kavitha, B Narsaiah Goud and ministers and party senior leaders.
The meeting assumes significance as Harish Rao, a trouble shooter in the party, has turned up and got involved in it. The meeting mainly focused on the defeat of sitting MPs in two LS segments and rise of the Congress and the BJP which won three and four seats respectively. The TRS boss was annoyed at the poll results for proving otherwise as the party lost seats instead of increasing the tally.
With 11 MP seats, the TRS fought for 16 and lost two in the results announced on Thursday. Probably sad at the party’s losses and benefiting the two Opposition parties, the TRS chief was discussing on the issue with senior leaders. Harish confined to Medak segment during the polls and the candidate won the seat while KT Rama Rao, who vowed to get more votes has suffered a setback as B Vinod Kumar lost the sitting seat from Karimnagar.
