K Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana State Chief Minister reviewed at a well-attended meeting the implementation of the various ongoing and new schemes for the benefit of farmers and to make agriculture profitable.
About 3,000 invitees including all agriculture extension officers,district agriculture officers and coordinators of Rythu Samnvaya Samitis besides top officials of the state agriculture department attended the meeting conducted at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
State Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy was also present. The meeting , being held ahead of the start of the Kharif season,focused on the implementation of the Rythu Bandhu ,a farmers investment support scheme,distribution of pattadar passbooks, 24 hours free power supply to farm sector and Rs.five lakh free insurance scheme for farmers to be launched on August 15.
K. Chandrasekhar Rao broached on setting up of crop colonies,farm mechanisation and establishment of food processing units which will go a long way in making agriculture a profitable proposition besides helping the farmers.
