Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today inaugurated the renovated Yadadri Temple at a grand program.
KCR attended the Maha Kumbha Samprokshana Yagam at around 11.55 am to mark the grand inaugural of Sri Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy temple. However, Seer China Jeeyar Swamy was conspicuously absent from the renovated temple program as he was reportedly not invited o the holy program.
The Chief Minister along with his family members took part in the main pujas at the temple. Ministers, MLAs, chief secretary Somesh Kumar and other officials, temple executive officer Geetha and others were present. Temple officials made all arrangements for the grand inaugural of the famous temple amid tight security. The pujaris used sacred Godavari water brought from the Kaleshwaram project to conduct abhishekam for one week.
Ministers Harish Rao, Indrakaran Reddy, Jagadish Reddy, Srinivas Goud, Srinivas Yadav, Mahamood Ali, Dayakar Rao, MLA G Sunitha and others attended the event. The grand Maha Kumbh Samprokshanam program was conducted at 11.55 am marking the inauguration of the temple. KCR, Council chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Srinivas Reddy were present when kumbhabhishekam and Samprokshana of Sudershana chakra on Vimanagopuram and seven other gopurams were performed. Some 92 rithwiks performed ‘Samprokshana’ to Sri Sudarshana Swarana Chakra atop the Divya Vimanam and Swarna Kalashams on the six Gopurams at the same time.
MP Santosh Kumar, MLC Kavitha, family members of the Chief Minister, including KCR’s wife Shobha, grandson Himanshu and YADA Chairman Kishan Rao, and others were also present. Later, KCR and ministers felicitated EO Geetha, Kishan Rao, Stapatis, Ananda Sai, sculptors, and others. It is learned that the State Government built the prestigious temple at an estimated cost of Rs 2,000 crore.

Amidst the chanting of the Vedic hymns, a Shobhayatra of the presiding deities was taken out from the Balayalam to the sanctum sanctorum following which special puja was performed to the Utsava deities. KCR himself carried the palanquin carrying the presiding deities. The Chief Minister and his wife performed the first puja to the presiding deities inside the sanctum sanctorum. He also performed special puja to the golden Dwajasthabham installed at the temple.
Elaborate arrangements were made by the officials for the conduct of ‘Maha Kumbha Samprokshana’ and the temple was opened for all the devotees commencing from 3 pm.
