Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today expressed grief at the demise of former Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.
In a pressnote here today, KCR condoled the death of the former Speaker of Lok Sabha and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family members. The Chief Minister said Somnath was a great parliamentarian and as Speaker he conducted the Lok Sabha proceedings in a decent manner with high standards.
Recalling his association with Somnath Chatterjee, KCR said when he and his party MPs resigned from the Lok Sabha during the Telangana agitation, Somanath gave enough time to make their voices heard in Parliament during the session. (NSS)
