Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao paid rich tributes to irrigation expert R Vidyasagar Rao on his death anniversary here on Wednesday. The Chief Minister said Vidyasagar Rao had questioned the injustice meted out to the Telangana region during the united Andhra Pradesh rule and kindled the spirit for separate statehood for the region among the people.
In a statement, The Chief Minister said in tune with aspirations of Vidyasagar Rao, the Telangana State is working hard day and night in the direction to make the State a fertile one. The CM hailed that the engineers in Telangana took inspiration from Vidyasagar Rao and completed the Kaleswaram project. The Telangana state, which has emerged, as Rice Bowl of India, is a true tribute to Vidyasagar Rao.
