KCR trying to legitimise his secret pact with BJP: Gudur

Hyderabad: TPCC Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy has alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao was trying hard to legitimise his secret ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Gudur Narayana Reddy, in a media statement on Monday, described KCR’s recent visit to Delhi as purely political tour which has no iota of benefit for people of Telangana. He pointed out of 11 memorandums reportedly submitted by the Chief Minister to Prime Minister Narender Modi during the meeting on 4th August, 10 were copies of old memorandum submitted by KCR to PM Modi on June 15 this year. “Except for adding a memorandum on reservations in favour of SC, ST and BCs, all other issues including funds for Kaleshwaram, approval for new zonal system, bifurcation of High Court, defence lands, railway projects, IIM, JNVs and funds for ITIR were old,” he said.

“Instead of questioning the Prime Minister for inaction on the memorandums submitting on various issues about two months ago, KCR did not feel ashamed in submitting a fresh copy of not one or two, but all 10 memorandums afresh. Had PM Modi lost or misplaced the old memorandums submitted to him earlier? If not, then why those memorandums were not forwarded to the concerned ministries for further action and why KCR did not raise these questions?” asked Gudur.

Gudur demanded that the Chief Minister clarify on what actually transpired between him and the Prime Minister on 4th August. “The information sent to people through media about the meeting looks fake and a cover up to hide the truth. “KCR has been a strong Modi supporter since beginning and TRS has always backed all moves of BJP-led NDA Government like demonitisation or GST. TRS MPs voted for BJP candidates in the election of President and Vice President of India. By not voting against Modi Government in the ‘No Confidence Motion’, TRS went a step closer to BJP. KCR’s recent visit to Delhi was only to refresh TRS party’s secret ties with BJP,” he said.

He alleged that KCR was having a quid-pro-quo understanding with PM Modi. “While TRS is supporting all anti-people policies of BJP Govt, PM Modi is shielding huge corruption by KCR family in Telangana,” he alleged.

The Congress leader said that the people of Telangana were facing dual curse of having an ‘incapable CM and insensitive PM’. Both of them are interested only in having political gains and not people’s welfare. “It is highly regrettable that PM Modi did not honour a single promise made with Telangana State in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. Further, it is extremely shameful for the KCR Government to support BJP Govt at the Centre without extracting any benefits for the people of Telangana. Both PM Modi and CM KCR have gained notoriety among people for their lies and deceptive politics. People are not willing to trust their fairy tales and would teach them a fitting lesson in next elections,” he said.

Gudur challenged the Chief Minister to prove that he had actually discussed 11 major issues with the PM. “If KCR is speaking the truth, then he must also tell the people what was the reaction and assurance of PM Modi on each issue. Has Prime Minister agreed to enhance Muslim quota to 12%? Has PM Modi promised to give national project status to Kaleshwaram? What is deadline set by the Centre for bifurcation of High Court and completion of railway project? By which year, Telangana will get IIM and how much funds PM Modi has assured to release for ITIR project?” he asked while adding that KCR’s politics has become too predictive and naked. Therefore, he said that the Chief Minister could no longer cheat people with his fake stories and tall promises. (NSS)
