KCR’s rally in Telangana: Bihar CM avoids question on his absence

On Wednesday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar dodged the question about his absence in the rally called by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR).

KCR has called a mega rally in Telangana for opposition unity against the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha election in 2024, with big leaders like Arvind Kejriwal, Akhilesh Yadav, and leaders of the left parties are in attendance.

“What would you say on it,” Nitish Kumar said and smiled.

Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, the finance minister of Bihar said: “If we are here then how would you say all opposition parties are going for the rally in Telangana.”

“I want to say that everyone is making efforts and if the efforts are honest, BJP will not come in power in 2024,” Chaudhary said.

Nitish Kumar previously stated that after the Samadhan Yatra, he will attend the budget session of the Bihar Vidhan Sabha and work for opposition unity in the country.

KCR visited Bihar in September 2022, but he did not provide definitive answers about the opposition prime ministerial candidates. Nitish Kumar was projected by JD(U) and RJD leaders as the opposition prime minister for the 2024 Lok Sabha election. KCR was asked several times at the time, but he never provided a clear answer.

He stated that the opposition leaders will sit together to decide on the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition parties.

Chief Ministers Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Singh Mann and Pinarayi Vijayan, along with Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and others, received a warm welcome from BRS leaders including Ministers, upon their arrival on Tuesday at Shamshabad airport here.

On Wednesday morning, all three Chief Ministers, CPI general secretary D Raja, and others met with BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan before departing for Khammam via Yadadri.
