Nalgonda : Bibinagar Police on Monday arrested two accused persons who kidnapped a baby child and rescued the baby pooja. The arrested were identified as Pittala Madhavi, and Raju Gujjar, residents of Bibinagar. They were rag pickers.
Speaking at a media conference at Bhongir, Deputy Commissioner of Police, K Narayana Reddy said that the complainant Tusambat Jhothi is a begger having a daughter Pooja aged 15 months. They are residing in a temporary hut at NTR Nagar, Hyderabad. The accused persons Madhavi and Raju Gujjar who got married for second time by leaving their respective first partners and children, were living in Bibinagar by collecting scrap. They are in need of children as they did not have one during their conjugal life.
On September 2, 2019 night the complainant quarreled with her husband and left their hut along with pooja and went on to road at VV nagar in Hyderabad. There the accused persons got acquainted with her through their common friends. Having greedy of children, the accused trapped the complainant and took her to their rented room at Bibinagar on the pretext of providing a cellar to her. Later they offered liquor to jyothi with an intension to keep her in an intoxicated state. Accordingly, on night of sep 4, 2019 they have given substantial quantity of liquor to Jyothi. After having the liquor, she went in to deep intoxication state, and the accused persons kidnapped the child on Sept 5, early house and took her to Secundrabad. On Sept 8, a case has been registerd at Bibinagar PS following a complaint. The Bibinagar police have strove hard, made efforts and apprehended the accused persons on Sept 23, and rescued pooja from their hands.
