IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today congratulated Parag Agarwal on his elevation as the CEO of noted social media company Twitter.
He said that Indian-based techies are taking over as the global tech giants like Microsoft, Google, and Twitter.
In his Twitter handle the minister appreciated the Indian who took over the mantle of a foreign-based Twitter company.
Hailing from Bombay the techie earlier worked as an advertisement employee in Twitter and became a team leader in the company in a short time. The minister further said that an Indian techie took over as the CEO of Twitter.
What is common in all these companies taken over by the Indian techies, the minister asked. Also, the minister reasoned that the world-class technology companies are being headed by Indians and it is a welcome sign.

The minister sought to know what is common among world-class companies such as Google, Microsoft, Twitter, Adobe, Microcon, IBM, and MasterCard. For all these companies those who were born and brought up in India are heading the minister stated.
With its cofounder Jock Dorse stepping down on Monday, the company unanimously selected Parag as its CEO. It is significant that Parag Agarwal clinched the top post after serving it for 16 years.
Having worked in Yahoo and Microsoft earlier, and after his stint as ads engineer, Parag Agarwal got elevated as technology wing chief in Twitter and now heads it. Parag said that he is feeling proud to head the company and extended thanks to Dorse for the top post.
