Telangana Municipal Administration, Industries, and IT Minister KT Rama Rao today condemned the attitude of the BJP Government at the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “communal conspiracies and hatred” besides showing partiality towards Telangana State and AP bifurcation.
The BJP has communal and caste feelings, but the TRS government was toiling for welfare for all, he added.
Participating in a program in Banswada along with Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy here on Wednesday after laying foundation for Siddapur Reservoir, K T Rama Rao accused the Modi Government of spreading lies on bifurcation and statehood to Telangana. “The BJP Government at the Centre ignored our repeated pleas and failed to give us support and denied medical colleges, Navodaya schools and institutions”, he charged. “The Centre also denied us Rs 24,000 crore funds for Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya, which were recommended by Niti Ayog. The BJP local leaders are failing to exert pressure on the Centre for funds and projects, but spreading lies”, he slammed. KTR said the people in the State should reject the BJP as it may merge the two Telugu States again. The Modi government has no answer on what the Centre given to the State, he charged.
KTR said only Telangana State was providing free supply of 24-hour power to farm sector to boost agriculture production in addition to Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bandhu programs. He participated in some development programs, including laying the foundation stone for Sidhapur Reservoir. He said while the Modi government tries to privatize PSUs and sell off LIC, the TRS Government was offering rythu bhima through LIC for the farmers.
With Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao giving Rs 100 cr, the segment was totally changed with more facilities by spending Rs 300 crore, he claimed. He said while the government in combined State used to give only six hours power to farm sector causing farmers many problems and difficulties, he said the KCR government has been focusing on farm sector, irrigation, education, health, IT, and Industries, and others. Mainly the focus is on rural development with schemes for farmers, women, poor, he said.

The Minister claimed that only the Telangana State has vision for farmers’ welfare. The TRS Government has been offering Rs 10,000 per acre financial assistance also free to the farmers in the State. “This is the vision of K Chandrasekhar Rao to help the farmers benefit in farm sector. With his vision for more irrigation projects and Mission Kakatiya, the rural economy has increased manifold”, he said. The State government has pushed the rural economy to a new high as the schemes are able to bring the migrated workers back home, he said. He also said workers from other States are coming to Telangana for work. Besides, Telangana workers, labourers, and people returned to villages from migrated States and districts.
The minister and the Speaker also visited a blood donation camp to mark the birthday of the Chief Minister.
