Hyderabad: Municipal and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao today turned 42 and received greetings from ministers, MPs, MLAs and other noted personalities including Director N Shankar, Hero Mahesh Babu and others. Receiving the greetings from various quarters, the minister tweeted that he could not greet personally as being down with fever since Sunday.
At the party headquarters, Telangana Bhavan, Deputy Chief Minister MahamoodAli, Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy, Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy, Mayor B Rammohan and others participated in the program. They cut the cake to mark the occasion and distributed among the leaders and activists present. The ministers planted saplings at the premises and a blood donation camp was also conducted on the occasion.
At Kukatpally, Minister Mahender Reddy participated in Haritha Haram program along with MLA Shambhipur Raju and others to mark the occasion. Raju took up the green drive of planting 15000 saplings to mark KTR birthday.

Mahender Reddy said that people should participate in Haritha Haram program to turn our city green and make environment free of pollution. Besides planting one has to take time to protect them he said. The MLA said that KTR is peoples man with great heart. He said that the minister has asked us to stop using plastic bags and avoiding banners and protect environment. On the advice of KTR, MLC M Hanmantha Rao, MLA Vivenkananda offered Rs 18 lakhs to CMRF to mark the occasion. (NSS)
