Kunamneni Ends Fast Following JAC and Party Leaders

Hyderabad: CPI former MLA K Sambasiva Rao on Thursday ended his fast onto death program following a request by a joint action committee and all party leaders. The national general secretary of CPI,  S Sudhakar Reddy,  State secretary Chada  Venkat Reddy, President of Telangana Jana Samiti M Kodandaram, CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram convinced Rao to end his fast unto death program.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Reddy alleged that all the ruling party leaders were pawns in the hands of CM KCR. He said that their party leader Rao had continued his fast unto death despite the fact that the local police tried to bust his fast unto death.  Venkat Reddy said that the ongoing RTC workers strike was resembling the separate Telangana state agitation. He said that all sections of society had extended their support to the ongoing protest program. Professor Kodandaram said that Sambasiva Rao had continued his fast for six long days in support of the workers.

He said that the RTC workers would continue their strike till they get justice from the state government. CPM state secretary Veerabhadram said that the CM  was not taking any steps to solve the problems faced by the RTC workers.  He said that the announcement of the state government that they would allow private Buses in the corporation would not get any legal sanctity as it did not have the approval of the board of the corporation. TDP leader L Ramana also spoke on the occasion.
