The ongoing Statewide lockdown has entered its 12th day in the state. Almost all areas of the state capital brimmed with a huge number of people as it was Sunday. People thronged vegetable markets and chicken, fish, and mutton shops to make their purchases.
The people are coming out of their houses simultaneously from their houses and are not following social distance norms to keep the Covid virus at bay. As a result, the threat of the rapid spread of the virus is looming large in the state.
Police close state borders
On the other hand, the State police have closed down all its borders to enforce the lockdown rules in a more strict manner. As a result, a lot of confusion prevailed on AP- Telangana borders.
Scores of vehicles came to the state border from AP thinking that there would be relaxation to the lockdown rules. However, the police did not allow them to cross the borders. A heavy traffic jam was witnessed at the Ramapuram check post of Kodanda Mandal from the Suryapeta district.

The police have stopped the vehicles coming from AP although they have relaxations to cross the border till 10 am every day during the lockdown period. They are being allowed into the state only on the production of e-pass. The police have made it clear that all emergency vehicles should have proper ID cards.
