Hyderabad: The strike by Lorry Owners Association has entered sixth day today. Some five lakh lorries were off the road in the two Telugu States due to the strike.
However, the Lorry Owners Association exempted the vehicles transporting emergency goods like medicine, milk and vegetables from the strike. The Association has warned the government that it would lift the exemption on the lorries transporting essentials if the government failed to concede their demands. The Association has been demanding that the government bring diesel under GST and reduce third party insurance premium. The common people were facing a lot of troubles due to the strike by lorries.
