The low pressure which had developed in the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha and West Bengal. The system has been hanging around for the past 24 hours or so. The low pressure area is expected to become more marked in the next 24 hours.
However, the proximity of the coast may not allow this system to grow much and become beyond a well marked low pressure area. The weather system is supported by a well marked cyclonic circulation extending up to medium heights.
During the last 24 hours, there has been widespread rains over many parts of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana with scattered heavy showers and isolated very heavy rainfall activities.
“In next 48 hours coastal Andhra Pradesh will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in most of the districts. Under the influence of upper air cyclonic circulation, in next 48 hours Telangana state will also receive widespread rainfall in all the parts of the state.”
