Hyderabad: “Mr.Mohammad Faizan, student of MCA, has been elected as President of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Students Union todayfor academic year 2018-19. He is the 7th president of the University’s student body.
The polling which started at 9.30 am, continued till 1.30 pm.Besides the headquarters, polling was also held at other campuses of the University.
According to Prof. S. Najamul Hasan, Chief Returning Officer, students as expected were enthusiastic for electing their representatives. Out of total 1837 voters, 1359 students cast their votes, he said.
Mr. Mustafiz Sharique, M. Tech., Mr. Mohammad Saud, MBA, Mr. Mobasshir ul Islam, B.Ed.and Ms. Razia Perween, B.Ed. were declared elected for the posts of Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor, congratulated the newly elected office bearers and declared tomorrow (Friday) as holiday for the University.
Prof. Shakeel Ahmad, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Registrar Dr. M.A. Sikandar also greeted the winners.
The investiture ceremony of new office bearers of MANUU Students Union will be conducted on 10thSeptember.
