Madhya Pradesh Government Lifts Covid 19 Doctor To Hyderabad For Treatment

Amidst the sudden surge within the Covid 19 cases across the country, Dr Satyendra Mishra, a frontline doctor of the Bundelkhand Medical College and Hospital was recently airlifted to Hyderabad for Covid 19 treatment.

Air Ambulance Carries Doctor in Critical Condition For Treatment 

As per the latest reports, Dr Satyendra Mishra is from the Department of Pulmonary Medicine in Bundelkhand Medical College in the Sagar City, Bhopal. He has been treating Covid 19 patients for over a year now. And he recently contracted the virus. After his condition turned critical, the health authorities in Madhya Pradesh decided to airlift him to Hyderabad for better treatment facilities.
Reports suggest that the air ambulance that carried Dr Mishra from Bhopal landed at the Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. From there he was moved to the Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had assured that Dr Mishra will be in safe hands and everything will be done to provide him the best help. This comes after Dr Mishra’s colleague at the Bundelkhand Medical College appealed to the CM to help him save.
Dr Umesh Patel from the Bundelkhand Medical College said via a video message that Dr Mishra’s condition is critical. At least 80 percent of his lungs are infected with the pandemic virus.
Dr Mishra’s colleague appealed to the people to come forward to help with his treatment. Dr Patel also appealed to the authorities to save him.

States Announce Lockdown 

As a measure to prevent the rising numbers of active Covid 19 cases, many states in India have announced lockdown. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a six days lockdown starting from today to April 26. Similarly, Rajasthan has also announced lockdown until May 3.

Throughout the lockdown, only essential services will be allowed to operate.

While there are already restrictions in Maharashtra, experts are calling for a self-imposed 15 days lockdown in Gujarat as well.
