Madinah Governor Inspects Airport and High-Speed Railway Facilities Ahead of Haj Season

As the annual Haj pilgrimage draws near, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Madinah Region, conducted an inspection visit on Tuesday to review the readiness of key transportation hubs — the Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the Haramain High-Speed Railway station.

The inspection aimed to ensure that all necessary preparations are in place to receive and facilitate the smooth arrival and movement of pilgrims. During the visit, the governor stressed the importance of enhancing service quality and maintaining high operational efficiency to meet the expectations of pilgrims traveling to the holy cities.

Speaking to officials, Prince Salman reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to serving the two holy mosques and providing pilgrims with exceptional hospitality and care. He emphasized the crucial role that transportation infrastructure plays during the Haj season, particularly in easing the movement of millions of worshippers.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the visit reflects the Kingdom’s continuous efforts to improve logistics, safety, and the overall pilgrim experience, aligning with Vision 2030 objectives to develop Haj and Umrah services.
