Mahakootami goal is to depose KCR: TPCC chief

Hyderabad: The Mahakootami of Opposition parties has declared that their common agenda will be aiming to dethrone the “monarchic” rule and to set up a government to meet the aspirations of the Telangana movement. On Saturday, the Mahakootami leaders held discussions on important issues like seat allocation at a private hotel.

Speaking to the media later, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said they didn’t take any final decision on seat allocation. He said they will have meetings on Sunday and Monday and release the common agenda later. He said discussions were going on about seat adjustments between the constituents of the Mahakootami. He hoped more political parties will join hands with the Mahakootami.

The TPCC chief said the people in the State were vexed with the four-and-a-half years TRS rule. The Mahakootami partners met today to discuss common agenda. He said they didn’t take any internal decision within the Congress or with other political parties on seat allocation.

TTDP chief L Ramana said the Mahakootami alone has strength to depose KCR. He alleged that the KCR government brought debts while saying that the Telangana was a surplus State. He alleged that KCR has treated the Opposition parties has enemies and neglected all sections of the people. He said they formed themselves into Mahakootami only to pull down KCR government.

TJS chief Prof. M Kodandaram said the common agenda of the Mahakootami was to remove the dictatorial rule in the State. He said already they prepared a draft agenda and they will give final touches to it on October 2.

CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said their aim was Telangana movement aspirations only. The people were in severely unhappy and Mahakootami will work for welfare of people. (NSS)
