The next day after recording a new high of 14,492 COVID cases, Maharashtra daily tally fell over by 4,000. In Pune, the death toll remained below 300 for the second straight but crossed over 1.50 lakh figure. State health officials reported on Sunday.
With more than 10K cases, the total of covid cases in Maharashtra rose to 682,383, with more 258 fatalities, the death toll stood at 22,253 – highest in the country.
There was one death roughly every 6 minutes, and the number of cases added 435 new cases every hour.
The state recovery rate from 71.45% to 71.55%, where 3.26% was the mortality rate.
The fully recovered patients who returned home were a total of 8,157, which took the total number of discharged people to 488,271 to date.
The death toll is lead by Pune with 67 fatalities, 34 in Mumbai, 23 in Thane, and 22 in Nagpur.
There were also, 13 deaths in Kolhapur, 12 in Nashik and Ahmednagar, 11 in Sanghli and 7 in Satara and Aurangabad. 6 in Solapur and Latur, 5 in Beed, 4 in Dhule and Jalgoan, Osmanabad and Nanded. 3 in Jalna and Palghar. 2 in Ratnagiri, Yavatmal and Raigad and 1 in Parbhani, Amravati, Sindhudurgh, Chandrapur and Bhandara.
Mumbai’s toll increased to 7,422 whereas the number of cases raised to 991 to 136,353. But, Mumbai remained below the 50th mark for the 10th day with 34 fatalities.
The Thane circle saw the fatalities shooting up to 12,219, with the new infected being 2,670, the total cases raised to 309,008.
The Nashik circle recorded 78,464 cases and 1,968 fatalities, which followed by the Kolhapur circle with 30,692 cases and 912 deaths. Aurangabad circle with 27,861 cases and 811 fatalities. Latur circle with 20,762 cases and 600 fatalities. Nagpur circle with 23,959 cases and 522 deaths. Followed by Akola 14,413 cases and 413 fatalities.
Now 12,30,982 are the number of people sent to home quarantine, while 34,820 is the number of people in the institutional quarantine for now.
