Hyderabad: Congress candidate from Nirmal Assembly segment Maheswar Reddy on Tuesday reacted on the statement of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi. He said the allegations made by Asaduddin that he had offered Rs 25 lakh to to the MIM leader to avoid election rally in Nirmal constituency was totally false and far from the truth.
“I did not expect such an allegation from a leader like Asad. I have never spoken to him in my life. I am not even his acquaintance. If he (Asad) has any proof, he should make it public. If he does it, I am challenging him that I will quit politics but, is he ready to quit politics if he failed to do so,” he asked.
Reddy mocked that Asad’s stature was of just Rs 25 lakh and added that he did not have any need to offer money to anybody for anything. He alleged that State minister Indrakaran Reddy, who was contesting from the seat was trying to mislead Asaduddin to win minority votes. (NSS)
