Marri Adithya Reddy Joins Telangana Jana Samithi

Hyderabad: Former minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy’s son Marri Adithya Reddy and an industrialist Bala Lingam joined Telangana Jana Samithi today in the presence of Prof. M Kodandaram, welcomed Adithya Reddy by offering party kanduva.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Kodandaram said it was a good sign that Adithya Reddy from a great political family entering politics. He also asked the TRS party not to use services of government machinery for the proposed ‘Pragathi Nivedhana’ public meeting to be held on September 2 at Kongara Kalan. “We will lodge a complaint with the Election Commission if the ruling party misuses power”, he said, adding that Governor ESL Narasimhan should see that official machinery was not misused by the ruling party for its Pragathi Nivedhana Sabha.

Adithya Reddy said problems in the villages were same even after formation of Telangana state. He said Kodandaram was an inspiration to him and joined the TJS impressed with Prof. Kodandaram’s fighting spirit. It is learnt that Aditya Reddy joined TJS party with the assurance that Assembly ticket from Secunderabad or any other constituency in Hyderabad city would be given to him. Aditya Reddy was active in Congress party till last year. Political analysts felt that Adithya Reddy’s decision to join the TJS was a brave and it would help him politically in future. (NSS)
