Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy, who failed to get party ticket,   today flayed TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy for misleading the screening committee and the party high command.

Speaking to the media, Marri said it was painful that the TPCC chief had informed the Screening committee and party high command that he could not win the Sanathnagar Assembly seat, as a result of which he was denied party ticket.   He said that conspiracy took place in seat allotments and asked how a senior leader could be denied party ticket.  Reddy aid that in a survey, he fot 68 per cent votes.  He had requested Rahul Gandhi’s office to reconsider his case.  Rahul made it clear that other parties should be given seat only  they were in a position to win.

Marri said that he would take a decision within two days on contesting the election.  There was no possibility of his contesting Secunderabad seat.  AICC General Secretary KKuntia had told him that TDP was asking for Sanathnagar seat.  But, TDP leaders had said that they were competing for Sanathnagar seat, he added.
