MAUD PS reviews progress of works with HRDC, GHMC and HWS&SB officials

Hyderabad: MAUD Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar today held a series of meetings with the officials of Hyderabad Road Development Corporation, GHMC and HWS&SB and took stock of the progress achieved in the completion of works. He also directed the officials to ensure that all the ongoing works should be completed by the end of October.

Road widening, footpath laying and restoration should be taken up immediately. Laying of BT roads could be taken up after the end of the rainy season, he said and cautioned the officials that he would make surprise inspections during. He also asked the officials to bring to the notice of the higher-ups if there was any problem in the execution of the works. Exhorting the officials to ensure quality of the works, Arvind Kumar stressed the need to stick to the time limit and see that all the works are completed as planned by the officials. HRDC Chief Engineer Mohan Naik informed Arvind Kumar that all the works were going on at a brisk pace and will be completed on time.

Later, Aravind Kumar advised the GHMC engineers to be in touch with their colleagues on the Metro Water works and see that there was coordination while taking up the works. He asked them to take up road works only after the water works are completed. He suggested to the officials to post the photographs on social media of the works before commencement and completion of the works. He told them to respond to any complaint made by the public on the social media and ensure that the work was attended to immediately.
