Metro Services Disrupted In Hyderabad for an Hour, Commuters Stranded Due to Technical Glitch

Commuters in Hyderabad faced significant inconvenience on Wednesday morning as metro services were disrupted for nearly an hour, leaving scores of passengers stranded. The disruption primarily affected the Hitec City-Ameerpet section during the peak morning traffic hour, causing delays and frustration for many travelers.

Reports indicated that there were no metro services running from Hitec City towards Ameerpet around 7 am, marking the beginning of the service disruption. The issue was reportedly caused by a metro train getting stuck at the Jubilee Hills station due to technical problems.

The L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail took to social media to inform the public about the situation, explaining that the disruption was the result of a temporary technical glitch in the signalling system. “We worked promptly to resolve the issue and normal services have been restored,” the announcement read.

The brief halt in services led to long waiting times for passengers, particularly during the busy morning hours when the metro is heavily relied upon for daily commuting. However, the metro authority assured the public that the situation had been resolved and services resumed as usual shortly after the technical issue was addressed.

While the disruption was relatively short-lived, it highlighted the challenges faced by the metro system in maintaining consistent service during peak hours. The Hyderabad Metro Rail team has assured that efforts will be made to prevent such incidents in the future.
