Hyderabad: In the wake of TSRTC crew going on an indefinite strike from Friday midnight, the Metro Rail services have come to the rescue of employees, businessmen, and people.
HMRC Managing Director NVS Reddy today said they were pursuing additional services to cater to the needs of the strike affected people. NVS Reddy said, “Due to RTC strike, we are plying additional services until 12.30 am. He maintained that one train in three minutes was being pressed into service to cater to needs and rush. He also said the HMRC took a decision to ensure that the commuters get rail services frequently.
He also explained that they have shifted 78,000 people against regular 42,000 people by 10 am on Saturday. In 100 trips, the Metro trains could deliver better services by 10 am”, he said, adding they have scripted a sneak to run a total of 810 trips every day during the strike period. He also hoped to provide metro rail services are being proved handy. The strike has forced people to make use of metro rail in the two existing corridors in the city, he added. (NSS)
