Mumbai Police Arrest Vegetable Seller for Threatening Salman Khan with Ransom Demand

In a swift action, Mumbai Police have arrested a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur who allegedly threatened Bollywood actor Salman Khan, demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore in the name of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The arrest comes in the wake of a threatening message received by the Mumbai Traffic Police on October 18, prompting an immediate investigation.

The police officials reported that a case was initially registered against an unknown individual after the threatening message claimed that Salman Khan’s life was in jeopardy unless he paid the extortion money. The sender warned, “Don’t take it lightly; if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan’s condition will be worse than Baba Siddique’s.”

Baba Siddique, a prominent NCP leader and a close friend of Khan, was recently murdered, which has heightened concerns over the safety of the actor. Following the threat, authorities took the matter seriously and launched a coordinated effort to track down the sender.

On October 21, the same sender reached out to the police again, apologizing for the earlier message and claiming it had been sent by mistake. Despite this retraction, the police remained vigilant, given the recent violent incidents associated with the Bishnoi gang.

With assistance from local police in Jamshedpur, authorities were able to trace and arrest the suspect. A police spokesperson confirmed, “We tracked and arrested the person responsible for the threat. He will be brought to Mumbai for further questioning.”

In light of the threats, Salman Khan’s security detail has been significantly increased. The actor returned to the popular reality show *Bigg Boss 18* shortly after Siddique’s death, sharing that he was hesitant to return due to the troubling circumstances but felt an obligation to fulfill his work commitments.

This incident is not the first time Khan has faced threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Earlier this year, suspected gang members opened fire outside Khan’s Bandra residence, and in a separate incident, Navi Mumbai police uncovered a plot by the Bishnoi gang to kill him, leading to further enhancements in his security.

As the investigation continues, the police are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of Salman Khan and address any further threats that may arise. The ongoing situation underscores the need for heightened security measures for high-profile individuals in the entertainment industry.
